Google Cloud Unveils Vertex AI Search, UK Hosts AI Hackathon, and Other AI News You May Have Missed

Google Cloud has unveiled Vertex AI Search, granting healthcare professionals early access. 1. Google Cloud introduces Vertex AI Search for healthcare professionals

Expanding on its already vast portfolio of AI services and products, Google Cloud announced in a blog post on Monday that Vertex AI Search is now available early. Healthcare professionals and businesses can leverage Google’s AI-powered search to find specific clinical information much more efficiently and search vast data from clinical sources such as FHIR data, clinical notes, and medical data from electronic health records (EHRs).

2. UK announces AI hackathon

The UK Department of Education announced in collaboration with Faculty AI, the National Institute of Teaching and the AI in Schools Initiative that they will organize a hackathon on 30-31. October According to the release, participants will be asked to try out the AI to test its potential in a variety of scenarios, such as marking exam papers or creating lesson plans.
